Art Basel is 44 years old too.

Art Basel is 44, like me. And like me feels young. It is an art fair with inner voice.

Art Basel publish a documents of these 44 years of history.

'Art Basel | Year 44' documents the dynamic experience of last year's Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong shows, featuring interviews, essays and personal highlights from artists, curators, collectors, museum directors and other luminaries from the international artworld. As well as showcasing each of the 527 participating galleries, the publication includes many lavish images from the three shows, their exhibition sectors, parallel cultural events, the Art Basel talks, partner engagements, and much, much more. 

Among the authors and artists featured are John M Armleder, Nicholas Baume, Harry Bellet, Dara Birnbaum, Maurizio Cattelan, Chris Dercon, Florence Derieux, Harald Falckenberg,  Gianni Jetzer, David Juda, Tadashi Kawamata, Hicham Khalidi, Arto Lindsay, Christine Macel, Massimo Minini, Elaine Ng, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Adam Szymczyk, Franklin Sirmans, Mickalene Thomas, Adrian Wong, and David Zwirner, as well as many others whose work contributed to our three shows in 2013.

The publication will be available to buy at all our shows, and at selected art bookstores across Europe in April, the United States and Asia in May and online, priced at CHF70, €57, £44, $80 or HKD600.
